Cleaners in Worcester

Worcester is where we live and work, so a job in Barbourne, Battenhall or Warndon Villages is a few minutes away rather than a trip out. Every postcode from WR1 to WR5 is on our patch.

Worcester is not one kind of housing stock, and cleaning it well means treating it that way. The streets running off Barbourne Road and up Rainbow Hill are largely Victorian and Edwardian terraces — deep skirtings, picture rails, tiled hallways and sash windows that hold dust in every bead of the moulding. Around Britannia Square the houses are older and grander still. Head east to Warndon Villages, St Peter's and the newer parts of Brickfields and it flips completely: open-plan layouts, fitted kitchens, en-suites, and a great deal more hard flooring and glazing to keep on top of.

The riverside is its own case again. The apartments around Diglis Basin and the converted porcelain works are compact and high-spec, heavy on glass and stainless steel and quick to show a mark. Properties along Hylton Road and the New Road side of the water, meanwhile, live with the Severn's winter habits — anything at ground level down there takes more grit through it in a season than a house up at Fort Royal sees in a year.

On the commercial side we quote for offices, salons, treatment rooms and lettings across the city: the business parks out at Warndon and Worcester Six by junction 6, the older units around Blackpole and Shrub Hill, and the small first-floor offices above the shops on Foregate Street and The Tything. The University of Worcester shapes the calendar here too. Between the City Campus and the St John's campus there is a large private rented sector, and a concentrated run of end-of-tenancy work every time the academic year turns over.

We have been cleaning in Worcester since 2017, and being based in the city rather than driving into it means short notice is usually workable — a deep clean before visitors, a carpet that needs rescuing, a move-out clean booked late. Regular weekly and fortnightly visits are still the backbone of what we do, and we can work around school runs, shift patterns and hospital hours.

Parking, permits and terraces

Much of WR1 and the older streets around Barbourne and St John's is residents' permit parking with no off-street space. It is a normal part of working in a city rather than a problem — just tell us the parking situation when you book so we can plan the visit and avoid taking a neighbour's space for the day.

The academic-year turnaround

Student tenancies around both campuses tend to end within the same couple of weeks, and every landlord on the street wants the same fortnight in summer. If you let a property in Worcester, book that turnaround well ahead rather than in the final week — it is the one predictable pinch point in the year.
